FAQ: How to whitelist senders using smartermail?

Windows hosting accounts include email which is based upon the Smartermail email solution. A feature of Smartermail is the anti-spam layer which is used to identify email that appears to be 'spam' (junk), this uses various methods which include analysis of the sending servers and the email content. Sometimes the filters may identify email as 'spam' which you would otherwise like to receive. Such email can be allowed through by enabling the sender as a 'Trusted Sender'.

Adding a 'Trusted Sender' is quick and easy:

1. Logon to webmail (eg. http://webmail.)

2. Click on the 'Settings' icon on the lefthand side

3. Click on the 'Trusted Senders' menu option, located towards the top-right of the screen

4. Click on the 'New' menu option

5. Enter the email address you want to whitelist then click on 'Save'.

After completing the 5 steps outlined above future emails will be delivered to your inbox.
