FAQ: Configuring iPhones and iPad for SMTP authentication

To send email through our servers it is necessary to configure your iPhone or iPad to login first. To enable on an iPhone or iPad please follow the steps below:

  1. Tap on Settings from your home screen.
  2. Select the Mail, Contacts, Calendar option.
  3. Select <YOUR-EMAIL-ACCOUNT>.
  4. Select the <ACCOUNT> line.
  5. Scroll down to the Outgoing Mail Server and click on the SMTP option.
  6. Select the Outgoing Mail Server option listed under the Primary Server section.
  7. Ensure that the Server is set to ON.
  8. Change Authentication to Password.
  9. Ensure that the User Name and Password fields are correctly set to the username and password of your mailbox.
  10. If "Use SSL" is On ensure Server Port is set to 587. Otherwise, ensure the port is set to 25 or 2525.
  11. Click DONE at your top right hand corner.
