HOWTO: Verifying Outlook 2016 settings (Linux Hosting)

Description:

1. Load Outlook
2. Click File located at the top left
3. Click Account Settings then Account Settings
4. Select your new mailbox from the list of accounts then click Change.

5. On the account settings page ensure:
  1. incoming server = vlinwebN.hosting-platform.com    ***
  2. outgoing server = vlinwebN.hosting-platform.com
  3. Ensure 'secure password authentication' is not ticked
***Note N should be replaced with the number associated with your hosting which should be in your welcome email.
6. Click More Settings

7. Click the Outgoing Server tab
  1. Ensure 'my outgoing server requires authentication' is ticked
  2. Ensure 'use same settings as incoming server' is selected
