Verify Your Password

Before attempting to setup Outlook 365 to access your IMAP mailbox logon to webmail to verify you have the correct password. To do this browse to https://vwebmail.hosting-platform.uk/ and enter your email address (in lowercase) along with your password (case sensitive).

Proceed to step 1 if you can login via webmail. Otherwise, reset your mailbox password via the ‘Services’ section of https://portal.yorkukhosting.com/login

Step 1 – Open Outlook

Step 2 – Click File

1. Click the ‘File’ option, located in the top-left corner

Step 3 – Click ‘Add Account’

1. Click ‘Info’
2. Click ‘Add Account’

Step 4 – Enter your email address

1. Enter your email address
2. Click ‘Advanced Options’
3. Tick ‘Let me set up my account manually’
4. Click ‘Connect’

Step 5 – Advanced Setup

1. Click ‘IMAP’

Step 6 – Server Details

1. Under ‘Incoming mail’:
   1. Enter ‘vmail.hosting-platform.uk’ as the ‘server’
   2. Enter ‘143’ as the server ‘port’
   3. Set the ‘Encryption method’ as ‘STARTTLS’
2. Under ‘Outgoing mail’:
   1. Enter ‘vmail.hosting-platform.uk’ as the ‘server’
   2. Enter ‘587’ as the server ‘port’
   3. Set the ‘Encryption method’ as ‘STARTTLS’
3. Click ‘Next’

Step 7 – Enter Password

1. Enter your password then click ‘Connect’

Step 8 – Complete Setup

1. Click ‘Done’ to complete setup.
