HOWTO: Unlock Domain and obtain EPP Code

• gTLD Domains (e.g. com, net, org)

Description:

To unlock a gTLD domain and obtain the EPP Code follow the steps below:

1. Login to the Client Portal
2. Click 'Services' then 'Domains'
3. Click the arrow icon next to the domain
4. Click 'Auth Info / EPP Key' option (under 'Domain details')
5. Click the 'Request' button to retrieve the code
6. Next, scroll up to the 'Registrar Lock' section of the 'Domain details'
7. If the lock status is 'on' click the 'Registrar link' located to the right to reveal the option to disable. If the unlock option is missing contact support.

Important:

• This process does not apply to cTLD domains (e.g. .UK domains).
• The 'EPP Code' can only be obtained via the Client Portal for security purposes.
