INFO: How to change the IPStag for a .UK domain

Applies To:

• .UK Domains (excluding AC.UK, GOV.UK)

Description:

To transfer a .UK domain to a new provider you will first need to obtain their IPStag from them. After obtaining the new IPStag follow the steps below:

1. Logon to the Client Portal
2. Click 'Services' then 'Domains'
3. Locate the required domain then click the arrow icon
4. Click 'Transfer Domain' under the 'Domain details' menu on the left
5. Scroll down to the 'Transfer Domain (IPStag Change)' section
6. Read and understand the 'Important' details
7. Enter the new IPStag under the 'New IPS tag:' then click the 'Transfer' button to approve

Important:

• IPStag changes are executed immediately and cannot be reversed by us
• An error may be displayed following the IPStag change due to us relinquishing control of your domain - this is expected
• An IPStag change will only be accepted via the Client Portal for security purposes. Requests via email, support tickets or telephone will be referred to the Client Portal
